Floor Plan of the Mosque

 In this blog I am going to talk about how I designed the floor plan of the mosque by using AutoCAD software and how I connected with my Renaissance theme. In the Renaissance era, there were lot of well known and important architects lived. Andrea Palladio, he was the best architect in the Renaissance he also influence with his design styles and they called it Palladianism.

He was also known as, he uses the harmonic ratios of Pythagoras, he is designing his all buildings in symmetric. So for my final project I am going to use his style to my building which means I will design my mosque with symmetric.

Before designing the floor plan on AutoCAD I sketched few floor plan designs. I tried 3 floorplan examples.

I really like the 3rd sketch that I did, so I developed it with bigger paper by using ruler and ink pen.

I am happy with this floor plan, so I am ready to re draw this floor plan on AutoCAD. I will show all of the steps that I did.

Here is the process of it;

Here I added the doors for the entrance and the windows.

Here is the final version of the floorplans;

This floorplan is
This floor plan with the dome and the minarets, the reason I did a floor plan like people should understand the place of the dome minaret better.

Last but not least, this is the floorplan of the ablution foundation, which is for those who would wash themselves before prayer.

Here is with the measurements;

I am going to use these floor plan as my final presentation on my website, so my next task is design the elevation of the mosque and the actual 3D outcome.

  1. Good to see this on here with a much clearer idea of what you are creating and how you are using the space, well done. Have you created a concept sketch that shows what your design will look like in the environment yet?
