Sequential Images

  In this blog I would like to talk about sequential images so first I looked to Isle of Dogs movie, the whole movie is stop motion. Stop motion is an animated video technique in which an object is physically manipulated in small increments between individually captured frames so that the object exhibits independent movement or change as the sequence of frames is played. Wes Anderson is the quintessential auteur, Wes Anderson is the quintessential auteur, creating stylistic films that reflect his own brand of history, period pieces, eccentric performances and popular culture. Though his films have sometimes been accused of winking at the audience a little too self-consciously, at their best, they are worlds that are perfect in their style, mood and logic.

Nothing suits Anderson’s unique brand of storytelling better than animation, where every frame is fabricated. His latest, Isle of Dogs, is a genre-bending masterpiece, altogether fresh yet inspired by cinematic staples ranging from film noir, 1950s sci-fi potboilers and classic army movies to more recent manga epics and traditional action flicks. Like Roald Dahl's adaptation of Fantastic Mr. Fox, Andersonuses stop-motion animation to create Isle ofDogs. In stop-motion animation, each character and object is physically manipulated and shot frame by frame.Playing frames in rapid succession creates the illusion of motion. Amazingly oldtechnology (dating backto 1897) gives the plot a surreal aura.A character is his three-dimensional object that moves in realspaceon a constructed environment. This process ispainstakingly slow and requires extraordinary craftsmanship.Ateam of experienced puppet and set designers contributedsignificantly to the production of the film.Exquisite detailpervades every frame, from set embellishments to graphics.

To start On some mobile phones you may need to convert images from HEIC to jpg so I used a converter online so that I could have jpeg images for my blog and for Photoshop and Pixlr.

These are my contact sheets from my shoot, I used Photoshop to create my contact sheet.  I opened Photoshop and clicked on File in the top menu, I then clicked on 'Automate' and then 'Contact Sheet'.  A dialog box opened and I clicked on 'Choose' and selected my file of sequential images from my photo shoot, Photoshop then automated the process of creating the contacts once completed I saved the contact sheets by clicking on 'File' Save As' and then saved these on my computer desktop as a png file so that I could add these to my blog

This is my final sequential piece as a group. I took these images using a Iphone 11 PRO MAX and this the settings of my camera were as follows:

My final images are here, these images were called Walking Toy character as I was playing with the idea that the wolverine character walking and this is what I have put together here as a sequence just as an example.

I had a limited time to create these images, however, I was pleased with the images I took and I enjoyed shooting these photos.I chose to take photo of action becauce I have a collection of action figures so I can say that I have interets on action figures.
