Welcome to my blog

Hello welcome to my first blog my name is Behzat and I am 18 years old. I was born in Cyprus. I am a student in DMU. I am currently studying architecture. I think my interest on architecture comes from my grandfather. Unfortunately he passed away when I was 10 years old. I used to watch his projects while he was planning or drawing his work. I used go his office to watch him. So I believe that I got my interest  from his passion for his works. After a few years I realise that I have talent on drawing. After that I attend to Art lessons in my school. I also did art A-level. I have done lots different style of drawings. After graduating from DMU, I am dreaming to go back to my home country to design different kind of buildings for instance environmentally friendly building to help our world and also I would like to represent my new skills that I am going to learn from DMU

Furthermore, I would like to mention about my interests in buildings.
When I travel, the buildings are usually the first thing that draws my attention. Every country has its own unique style even some regions. In general, historical buildings gets my attention more. For instance I went Italy to saw the huge cathedral called Duomo di Milano or you can say Metropolitan Cathedral - Basillica of the Nativity of Saint Mary and it was astounding. It took almost six centuries to complete the cathedral.
Construction he began in 1386 and final details were completed in1965.    Source: Duomo di Milano

When I was 12 years old, my family and I travelled to France for a holiday, and I was fascinated with the buildings there. The Louvre Pyramid captured my attention the most , the design of that building is extraordinary.

The architect of that building is Leo Ming Pei. He is well know architect and was born 1917 in Guangzhou and died in 2019. Pei moved to the United States in 1935 and attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia before transferring to the Massachusetts Institute of TechnologyCambridge as an architectural engineering student. He graduated in 1939, was unable to return to China due to the outbreak of World War II, and conducted various architectural commissions in Boston, New YorkCity, and Los Angeles. he worked in a unit on the National Defence Research Board. From 1945 he was an assistant professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Design until 1948, when he received his master's degree in 1946. In general, Pei's designs represent an extension of and elaboration on the rectangular forms.                         Source:  Leo Ming Pei's photo
