Materials for environmental buildings

 This blog is about the material researches that I need to use for my TENET hotel for project. I believe that these materials will help our Earth and environment. Furthermore, the main idea for building environmentally friendly building is green homes can reduce the carbon emissions significantly and saves lots of energy.


The first material one is Recycled Steel; by using recycled steel in building the process will occur stronger and durable building. One of the  most important reason for using Recycled Steel is  , it cause a massive saver I energy costs.

Salvaged Wood Floors for interiors, this material is  the most sustainable materials for building. It is easy to work with it and also can last a long time. This material also cause a fewer carbon emissions.



For the third material Recycled Concrete Aggregate(RCA), this material is made from recycled substantial pieces that have crushed into tiny pieces and mixed with new concrete ingredients (usually sand).



Lastly I will talk about the Carbicrete, Carbicrete is a concrete plant produces 25,000 CMU's per day reduce emissions by 20,00 tonnes per year. It allows concrete block manufacturers to use carbon dioxide emissions from power plants.



Also I will look at the materials that has opportunity to reduce the carbon emission. The main building systems to reduce the carbon emission are Sustainable energy sources, energy- efficient engineering and carbon capture technology.


For the sustainable energy sources, there are some important renewable energy technologies are needed which are Solar electric, solar thermal, Geothermal heat pump, Wind turbines and lastly biomes systems.

The Solar electric is PV that arrays convert sunlight to electricity.




The Solar thermal is a Solar water heating can be a cost-competitive way to generate hot water or air and eliminate both the cost of electricity or fossil fuel as well as the associated environmental impacts.Solar hot water systems use a collector to absorb and transfer heat from the sun to water, which is stored in a tank until needed. These systems are categorized by the temperature at which heat is most efficiently delivered and the collector type that is best suited for that delivered temperature, including low-temperature, mid-temperature , and high-temperature.



The biomass, there are many types of biomass organic matter such as plants, residue from agriculture and forestry, and the organic component of municipal and industrial wastes that can be used to produce fuels, chemicals, and power. Wood has been used to provide heat for thousands of years. This flexibility in materials has resulted in increased use of biomass technologies 
Biomass technologies break down organic matter to release stored energy from the sun. The process used depends on the type of biomass and its intended end use. For example, biofuels and biopower can be used to provide heat or electricity for buildings.

 Lastly, this material research really helped me to understand the meaning of environmentally buildings. I have learnt what to use for my TENET hotel which is environmentally friendly. I will use this these materials for my project.
